Le violoneux André Alain aura eu une grande influence sur plusieurs musiciens et musiciennes de ma génération dont Pierre Laporte, Jean Cantin, André Marchand, Lisa Ornstein, Guy Bouchard, et tant d’autres qui ont bien connu son répertoire. Nous croyons que le titre qu’il avait donné à cet air fait référence au spiritueux et à son usage qui peux faire culbuter. 🎻 Now that the snow has arrived, the Bout du banc has traded the bench for the sofa! We believe that the title he gave to this tune refers to the (bottled) spirit which may have influenced his style.
