No 114 – Reedy Johnson’s – avec Mario St-Germain

Avec Mario St-Germain. Cet air est un souvenir de Québec, en jouant avec Mario et la gang de Manigance en fin de siècle dernier. Sans le savoir, on était parfois sous influence irlandaise, les deux pieds par-ici-par-là à battre la mesure gaiement dans les maisons de nos amis, les deux cultures se rejoignant souvent avec un accent aigu pour la fête. Nous écoutions allègrement Paddy Reynolds et Andy McGann aux violons, accompagnés par Paul Brady à la guitare.

With Mario St-Germain. This tune reminds me of Québec, playing with Mario and the Manigance gang in the late ‘90s. Without knowing it, we were under Irish influence, with our French feet happily beating Irish time at house parties, where the two cultures often came together. We revelled in the sound of Paddy Reynolds and Andy McGann on fiddle, accompanied by Paul Brady on guitar.
