Avec Jean Cantin, Michel Leblanc et Dana Whittle. On a bien du plaisir comme “D’Accoutumée” (nom de notre petit groupe)! Voici un air provenant de Jos Bouchard, un personnage incontournable de la tradition de violon québécois qui se forgea un style personnel et distinctif aux couleurs souriantes du quadrille de la région de la vieille capitale. Je me souviens qu’on l’avait présenté comme le « Prince du folklore » lors d’une danse à Sainte-Pétronille de l’île d’Orléans, animée par Madame Georgiana Audet.

With Jean Cantin, Michel Leblanc and Dana Whittle. As usual (“d’accoutumée” – the name of our band), we have a lot of fun playing together! This is a tune from the repertoire of Jos Bouchard, an main character in the Québec fiddling tradition, who forged a highly personal and distinctive style playing for dances in the capital region. I remember one time when he was presented as the “Prince of Folklore” at a dance hosted by Madame Georgiana Audet in the village of Sainte-Pétronille on the Isle of Orléans.
