No 124 – La Gigue du chevreuil – Claude Méthé

En 2023, notre groupe Zigue a eu la chance de jouer au merveilleux festival Chants de Vielles sur les bords du Richelieu, où nous avons lancé un album de famille «Mon père a fait bâtir maison», réalisé par notre fille Béatrix. J’ai eu l’honneur d’y être désigné officiellement «Chevreuil» du festival (une sorte de mascotte) et d’aller jouer sur scène avec plusieurs autres artistes. Quelques jours avant d’y aller, cet air m’était venu en tête et j’ai pu ensuite le jouer pour une première fois sur scène au festival.

In 2023, our band Zigue had the opportunity to perform at the fabulous Chants de Vielles festival on the banks of the Richelieu river, launch a family album “Mon père a fait bâtir maison”, produced by our daughter Béatrix. I had the honor of being the official “Chevreuil” (deer) of the festival, a sort of mascot, which entitled me to join other artists onstage throughout the weekend. This tune came to me just a few days before the festival weekend and I was able to play it there for the first time.
