Avec Lisa Ornstein et Dana Whittle. Tourné à Sainte-Béatrix en août 2023. Je me souviens de cet air que jouait Aimé Gagnon quand il voyait son ami accordéoniste René Blanchette. Plusieurs rencontres festives ont eu lieu avec eux à Saint-Édouard-de-Lotbinière où il m’invitait de les rejoindre soit au relais de motoneige pour une soirée dansante, ou au printemps à la cabane pour une partie de sucre. La visite de notre chère amie Lisa a fait de cette journée d’été un moment parfait (même si, à mon avis, nous avons joué ce morceau un peu trop vite!).
With Lisa Ornstein and Dana Whittle. Filmed in Sainte-Béatrix in August 2023. This is a tune that Aimé Gagnon used to play with his accordionist friend René Blanchette. We had many lively get-togethers in Saint-Édouard-de-Lotbinière. He would invite me to join the two of them to play for either for an evening of dancing at the snowmobile « relais , or in the spring at the sugar shack for a sugaring-off party. The visit of our good friend Lisa made this summer day absolutely perfect (even if, in my opinion, we played this piece a bit too fast!).
