Heureux que Rémi (à la guitare) et Gaétan se joignent à nous pour chanter sur le Bout du banc (qui se trouvent être des chaises en raison de la saison). Ici une jolie chanson apprise par Rémi de Daniel Riopel, de la célèbre famille de chanteurs d’Entrelacs (Lanaudière), qui comprend également Samuel et son neveu violoniste-chanteur Simon (célèbre pour Ni Sarpe Ni Branche). Gratitude à ceux et celles qui ont su conserver tous ces bijoux culturels dans un répertoire tant coloré que varié. Rémi a souvent participé à ces veillées où la tradition se transmet avec fierté et conviction. Gaétan est un véritable « homme-orchestre » de Portneuf, passionné par la tradition. We’re delighted that Rémi (on guitar) and Gaétan are joining us to sing on the « bench » (chairs today due to the weather). Here’s a lovely song Rémi learned from Daniel Riopel, of the renowned singing family from Entrelacs (Lanaudière), which also includes Samuel and his nephew, fiddler-singer Simon (of Ni Sarpe Ni Branche). Our gratitude goes out to those who have preserved all these cultural gems in such a vibrant and diverse repertoire. Rémi has often participated in these « soirées » where tradition is passed along with pride and conviction. Gaétan is a true « one-man band » from Portneuf, passionate about tradition.
